Sociological INTERROGATION #2 

January, 10, 2002 the Marketing centre "September" has lead (carried out) interrogation of Firms and private persons of developers of SOFTWARE and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES. Thank all sent the answer. 

the QUESTION: you know about existence of certification independent of the manufacturer and the buyer? The following variants of answers were offered:

Hardly there is less than half of developers (43 %) are keen on the work and representations have no, that their production someone and may is somehow worthy estimate from them 1/3 count it in general bosh, and others 2/3 are not sure, that can pass certification. 30 % of developers are informed enough on certification. Half from them plans to certificate production. Only 6 % of programmers will certificate production now, half of programmers is not sure, that it is necessary to spend money to certification. 1/6 part of developers considers, that in certification any dirty trick is incorporated.

We have lead (carried out) the first interrogation of Firms and private persons of developers of SOFTWARE and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES.

We asked to reply.

Why you are not solved on independent testing and certification of the programs created by you, the information and automated systems? The following variants of answers were offered: answers in % Are received

1. I do (make) bad quality work. 0

2. I think myself above and certification is unworthy me. 0

3. I am not going (do not gather) to raise the professional rating. 0

4. I do not want to spend money. 49 

5. I do not trust certification. 17 

6. I am afraid to not pass certification and to seem bad. 34

7. I do not want to increase a sales volume and to earn more than 0. 

Thus, the today's developer of software - not self-assured (34 %) the miser (49 %) who is afraid, that him swindle (17 %).
